Growing up I’d often go to my grandparent’s lake house in Nebraska. But in my adult life, I have rarely had the opportunity to get out there. During our trip to Iowa to see family, we made a quick visit out to the lake. I snapped a few pictures of the evening.

Micah roams through the house. I never had envisioned seeing my own child walking around and playing in this house.

Micah peeks out from around the corner, with Uncle Matt watching over him.

Sarah, Norman, and Micah hang out on the couch.

The old sign that has been attached to the house for as long as I have been alive. My mom’s side of the family last name is Knott.

Lots of memories here.

Something was burning off in the distance. Also you can see the Beaver Lake dam.

We built a small fire to roast marshmallows on and stay warm.

The lake looks beautiful as the sun sets.
